How the US Navy method works
The formula uses neck and waist (men) plus hip (women) along with height to estimate body fat — accurate within ±3% for most adults.
Measure first thing in the morning, relaxed, with a snug but not tight tape. Lean body mass = weight × (1 − body fat %).
